Can’t help bragging just a little about Stevens Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning’s repipe crew!
Look at how neatly they’ve cut into this wall to access the plumbing – in this case to the icemaker line – and connect the new pipes.
This home had polybutylene piping and I think most people know by now that poly piping is not a good thing! The homeowner, who only recently bought the house, wisely asked us to repipe the home shortly after he purchased it, even though there weren’t (yet) any plumbing leaks. Guess he knew leaking pipes were inevitable where poly is concerned.
The crew repiped the house in PEX, which is our preferred product and method. PEX piping (tubing) lends itself to a neat, fairly quick installation process. And, what homeowner doesn’t appreciate neatness and speedy work! Even so, the crew did some exceptional work at this home and should be applauded. These guys are great!
A part of the repiping job included moving the main shut-off valve above the copper tee to the pipes that go to the sprinklers. (These pipes are copper, of course, as PEX can’t be used above ground in outdoor applications.) Since the homeowner is often away for weeks at a time, the water to the house can now be shut off but the sprinkler system will still be live.
Hope this homeowner appreciates what fine workmanship went into the replumbing of his home. He’ll have a lot of years of problem free plumbing. Just one way we at Stevens Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning contribute value, comfort and health to the members of our community.
