Goodyear AZ has a rich and varied history, beginning in the early part of the 1900s when the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company purchased 16,000 acres to grow cotton to be used in making rubber tires.  World War I was well under way at that time, and cotton was in short supply as import sources dried up during the war years.  Goodyear Arizona’s climate was found to be highly suitable to growing cotton, and an industry – and a town – were born. The town of Goodyear grew up around the cotton farming activities and thrived during the war years, but fell into decline when cotton prices plummeted following the end of the war.

Goodyear continued its existence through the next decades, but remained a small rural town.  Incorporated in 1946, the town consisted of only about 400 residences, one grocery store, a drug store, barber shop, beauty shop and one gas/service station.

With the addition of the Litchfield Naval Air Facility (now the Phoenix-Goodyear airport) and the Goodyear Aircraft Corporation (now Lockheed Martin) during World War II, Goodyear, which became a city in 1985, began to grow and expand.  Much of the land that originally was part of the Goodyear Farms (the cotton fields) was sold for development.  In fact, between the years 2000 and 2006 Goodyear was one of the fasted growing cities in the country.

Today, Goodyear is a thriving city with a population of over 65,000 residents (according to the 2010 census), well-planned communities, several beautiful golf courses, restaurants, theaters, shopping and an enviable location just off both the I-10 and the newly expanded 303, making it easily accessible to all areas of the metro valley.

Talk to almost any Goodyear resident, and they’ll tell you they live in Goodyear Arizona because it’s a charming, attractive, quiet but vital suburban town – a great place to live, a great place to raise a family as well as a great place to retire!  And, we think Goodyear is a great place to have a plumbing, heating and air conditioning business.  We’ve been offering service to Goodyear residents for over 30 years, and we have many valued plumbing and hvac customers in the Goodyear area.  We want to thank them for helping our business grow along with the community.
