Reverse osmosis is the most sophisticated water filtration and purification technology in the industry. The stages of treatment in the system reduce dissolved solids, impurities, and contaminants found in ordinary tap water.

Your tap water is moved through both a pre-filter and a semi-permeable membrane, which removes many of the undesirable substances found in most tap waters. The process used is similar to that used in producing bottled water.

Larger particles, such as rust and scale, are removed in the prefiltration stage. Capturing these larger pollutants at this early stage helps extend the life of the system. Smaller particles are then removed by the semipermeable membrane. This membrane at the center of the reverse osmosis unit traps the smaller solids not removed by the prefilter, allowing only clean water to pass through. The clean water moves on to a storage tank where it remains until you turn on the faucet. However, before the faucet dispenses the clean water, it goes through one final stage of filtration: the activated carbon filter. The result is clear, clean, better-tasting water right from your tap!

A reverse osmosis system can produce up to 25 gallons of clean water a day–a generous supply for any family.
